“The competition gave us confidence in the work we had already done and would be doing on the EV.”
Transitioning from traditional ICE vehicles, and stepping into the EV category required a lot of new knowledge and skills. Through Pi-EV 2022 and its several submissions like the FMEA, Procurement Strategy Report, and the Team Management Report, which required immense clarity on our design, and the priceless Q&A sessions with industry experts, we were able to gather the expertise and experience about critical aspects of working on a Formula Student Vehicle like timeline making and realistic component selection keeping budget constraints in mind.
In addition to enhancing our technical skills, Pi-EV 2022 also guided us in the development of several soft skills like leadership, teamwork, and communication, all abilities that are crucial for success in just about any industry, especially when it comes to working on intricate, complex and long-term projects like fabricating a Formula Student Vehicle. Participating in the Pi-EV 2022 competition gave us confidence in the work we had already done and would be doing on the EV. Our team was aiming to migrate into the EV category, and it was a valuable experience and gave us a great head start.
