Membership Session: More than a Decade in Formula Student – My Journey

On Thursday, October 27 at 6:30 PM IST, Cathy Dsouza, ex-Event Chair of Formula Bharat, will be speaking of her journey through Formula Student over the last 15 years.

Content that will be covered during this workshop session:

Cathy will provide important points in her student life and career that pivoted her towards Formula Student. She will charter the course of how she navigated the challenges faced in joining her FS team, those with starting a new venture post-graduation and with launching the Formula Bharat initiative later in India.

About the speaker:

Cathy was a member of the University of Toronto Racing Team in Canada between 2007 till 2010, and she competed with the team in competitions in the USA and in Germany. Post graduation, Cathy and her peers launched Formula North – Canada’s Formula Student Competition in 2012. The competition attracted 40 teams from Canada, USA, Estonia, India, and Pakistan. Cathy headed this event until 2018, when the event eventually moved under the Formula SAE program at SAE International, USA.

While Cathy was still running Formula North, she moved to India in 2014. In 2016, she was approached by the engineering student community to launch a similar competition platform in India, now known as Formula Bharat
