The EV Safety Training by Formula Bharat is a specialized program designed to educate and equip students, faculty, and EV enthusiasts with the critical knowledge and skills required to handle electric vehicles (EVs) safely in a Formula Student context. As the EV landscape rapidly evolves, understanding safety protocols is essential to ensure both personal and team safety during vehicle development, testing, and competition. This course aligns with the requirements for Formula Bharat 2026 and several Formula Student events globally, based on the current versions of their respective rulebooks.
Electrical System Officer Qualification (ESOQ)
As per the Formula Student rules, a valid Electrical System Officer Qualification (ESOQ) is mandatory for handling a Formula Student Electric Vehicle’s Tractive System. The EV Safety Training by Formula Bharat provides certification aligned with this requirement, making it a critical step for team compliance and safety assurance.
Course Levels Offered
Formula Bharat offers EV Safety Training courses are structured based on the DGUV 209-093 standards, specifically covering Stages 3E and 1E, that are conducted by qualified EV safety experts at the following qualification levels:
- Stage 1E (Theoretical Training + Evaluation)
- Stage 3E (Theoretical Training + Guided Practical Training + Evaluation)
